DESCRIPTION

The Midi-Gel family of horizontal gel systems offers three convenient sizes midway between our standard size and our mini-gel horizontal systems. The reduced path length of the resolving gel allows for rapid screening of samples. All three of these units offer our tapered baffles for convenient gel casting and UV transparent gel trays. The LFT-402T features gel bed dimensions of 10.5cm (w) x 11cm (l). The LFT-502T is the double wide mini-gel for screening applications and has gel bed dimensions of 14cm (w) x 10cm (l). The LFT-602T has gel bed dimensions of 14cm (w) x 16cm (l).

Special options available for theses units include color coding or flip lids. Please inquire.

Each unit comes equipped with:

* A wide variety of polycarbonate or aluminum combs are available including combs for multi-channel pipettor loading.
* UV transparent gel trays are configured to allow a single run or multiple simultaneous short runs and are 1/4" thick to prevent heat distortion during application of hot agarose. Trays are equipped with four agarose "anchors" to prevent gel from floating during electrophoresis.

Accessories

Please see 14cm-wide Accessories for the LFT-502T and LFT-602T Systems. Combs for the LFT-402T are offered in polycarbonate or teflon coated aluminum in thicknesses of 1.0mm and 1.5mm with a choice of 5, 12, 18 wells.
