Special Features -

• Tapered baffle system simplifies gel casting.
• Extremely efficient glass cooling platform allows a variety of temperature-controlled gel electrophoresis applications. Native strand DNA separations, reverse field electrophoresis, Restriction Fragment isolations, Protein gels, and Enzymatic separations.
• Platinum electrode is sealed in side wall shielding it from the buffer as it descends to bottom of unit, and is only exposed along the base of the reservoir on both sides. This helps to protect the platinum and provides a uniform field across the width of the gel.
• Gel trays are made from UV transparent acrylic to enable direct reading of ethidium bromide stains. Trays are 1/4" thick to prevent heat distortion during appli-cation of hot agarose and are equipped with four agarose "anchors" to prevent gel from floating during electro-phoresis.
• Tight-fitting safety cover reduces condensation during electrophoresis.
• Precision-machined polycarbonate combs can be ad-justed to desired height above gel tray.
• Agarose wick option: Conversion to horizontal agarose wick electrophoresis can be accommodated by ordering either dedicated or removable baffles for agarose wick formation.
