The Sooner Scientific Dedicated Height Sequencers are available in 20cm and 33cm widths and can be ordered with a height of 32cm, 42cm, 52cm, or 62cm. These sequencers feature safety-interlocking lids, detachable upper and lower buffer reservoirs, and a built-in epoxy-coated aluminum heat dispersion plate. A clear acrylic bar clamp is provided with each unit. This unique clamp assures the even compression of the glass plate sandwich to the upper reservoir gasket. Both upper and lower reservoirs have drains with tubing adapters for easy disposal of radioactive buffer solutions. Convenient quick-disconnect tubing coupling with shut-off valves can be ordered as an alternative to the tubing adapters.

Each sequencer also includes:

• Built-in epoxy-coated aluminum heat dispersion plate
• Bar clamp
• Leak-proof silicone gasket on upper reservoir to which glass plates are clamped
• Interlocking safety covers with attached leads
• Four molded white spring clamps
• Safety tip power leads
• Leveling base with bubble level
• SeaQuate pre-mixed acrylamide/bis gel solution is shipped with each order. Ready to use fast and easy. SeaQuate comes to you in 1 pre-mixed bottle containing TEMED, Urea, TBE and acrylamide. Add APS and pour the gel. Choose One: SQL 4301, SQL 5301, SQL 6301 or SQL 8301.

Special Features -

• Eight different sizes are offered to best suit investigator's needs.
• Convenient built-in epoxy-coated aluminum plates help to evenly distribute the heat generated during electrophoresis, eliminating the "smile effect."
• A wide selection of precision-machined combs and spacers is available, including sharkstooth combs for "side-by-side" sample application and linear and exponential wedge spacers. (See accessories on page 4.)
• Compressible, long-lasting silicone gasket on face of unit provides leak-proof seal when glass plates are clamped in place.
• Upper and lower reservoirs conveniently detach from the unit for ease in disposal of radioactive buffer solutions.

Safety Features -

• Safety covers are extended over glass plate sandwich on upper reservoir for maximum protection and have attached power leads. Safety covers are easily removed with a counter-balance push button. (See photo on right.)
• Power leads have a retractable sheath banana plug on male end leaving no metal exposed, and will not short out if dropped. (Complies with European safety standards.)
• Acrylic bar clamp (pictured above) provides equal pressure along entire width of the glass plate/comb sandwich eliminating capillary leakage of sample while loading sharkstooth combs. This clamp minimizes glass plate fractures due to the "bending" that can occur from the uneven pressure of side clamps alone, resulting in longer plate life.
