Tube Gel Electrophoresis Systems

Description -

Sooner Scientific offers three Tube Gel Electrophoresis Systems: a 12-place (pictured), a 24-place, and a 36-place unit. Solid Vacutainer stoppers for variable size tubes are supplied with each unit. This allows maximum versatility since the user may punch stoppers with a cork borer to fit tube gel diameters between 1mm and 7mm, depending on the desired application. Applications include SDS-acrylamide gels, acrylamide gradient gels, I.E.F., preparative gels, and first dimension of 2-D analysis.

Each unit also features:

Interlocking safety cover
Leveling base with bubble level
Cooling jacket
Platinum electrodes
A white central power core to provide a contrasting background for the dye band marker.

Special Features -

Three sizes (12-place, 24-place, 36-place) are available.
Maximum flexibility. Any diameter tube gel from 1mm to 7mm can be run in the same unit, depending on desired application.
Much of the platinum wire is enclosed inside a central power core for protection from breakage.
White central power core provides contrast to enhance dye band visibility.
Interlocking safety cover on upper reservoir.
Cooling jacket surrounds lower buffer chamber for efficient temperature control.
