Sooner Scientific's Mini-Blotter can hold up to 4 gel cassettes simultaneously and features an internal glass cooling base for temperature controlled runs. Safety cover has interlocking power leads. Gel cassettes slide into channels on side of chamber and a stirring bar can be placed beneath the cassettes to allow buffer circulation and heat exchange during electrophoresis. Removable platinum panels are easy to clean, and platinum is protected in recessed channels. System includes electrophoresis chamber with cooling base, 2 removable platinum electrode panels, one 9x11cm cassette, tubing adapters, safety cover, and power leads.

Mini-Multiple Gel Casting Chambers - Mini-Multiple Gel Casting Chamber, casts up to 10 gels at a time, Cat. # FBB-210.

Multiple gel casting chambers are available for mini-slab gels. The FBB-210 Casting Chamber (shown at right), casts up to 10 gels simultaneously (based on a gel thickness of 0.75mm) and fits glass plates from our LFU-200 Dual Vertical Mini-Gel System. Also available is a four capacity Casting Chamber, Cat # FBB-204. A central filling trough in the bottom of the chambers connects to a backfill port and assures even casting for single percentage or gradient gels. These chambers feature a long-lasting silicone gasket and stainless steel spring clamps. Mylar sheets are provided as a barrier between each glass plate sandwich assembly, making them easier to separate after gel casting is complete. Additional sheets are included to shim the multiple gel plate sets to the necessary breadth to assure a tight seal.

Sooner Scientific now offers gasketed I.E.F. tube gel adapter, Cat. #LSFZ-200, that clamp onto either side of the LFU-200 Dual Vertical Mini-Gel System for first dimension electrophoresis of up to 12 samples under identical buffer conditions. Each cassette holds 6 tubes, and as an option a single cassette may be run by closing off the opposite side of the unit using a back glass plate. the upper buffer surrounds the tubes and is passively cooled by the internal cooling chamber of the LFU-200 for temperature-controlled runs. The glass tubes are 7.5cm long and have 4 different inside dimensions (0.5mm, 0.75mm, 1.0mm, and 1.5mm), and are specially designed so that the four I.D.s all have an outside diameter of 3.0mm, making the tubes less fragile and easier to handle. The tubes are held in place by sliding them through the top channel off the cassette into a silicone stopper in the bottom. The assembled cassette is then clampled into place with 2 white spring clamps to form a leak-proof seal. Accessories include a specially designed I.E.F. safety cover (shown at right) and a tube gel extractor.
