SeaQuate DNA Sequencing Gel Solution

See How Easy DNA Sequencing Can Be!
With SeaQuate DNA sequencing Gel Solution you avoid mixing, measuring and mess because the solution comes to you in 1 premixed bottle containing TEMED, urea, TBE and acrylamide. Just add APS and pour. So from start to finish your gel is ready to run in 30 minutes.

Safe
The liquid format of Sooner Scientific's SeaQuate DNA Sequencing Solution eliminates the safety hazards of dry acrylamide.

Reproducible Results
Each lot of SeaQuate DNA Sequencing Gel Solution is first tested and qualified in the Sooner Scientific QC lab for conductivity, pH and refractive index. Then a test sequencing gel is run to ensure band sharpness and migration. All this adds confidence; confidence that you will get consistent, reproducible, quality results time after time.

Kit Contents:
1.0 L SeaQuate 6% (Cat. No. SQL6301) SeaQuate 8% (Cat. No. SQL6301) DNA Sequencing Gel Solution

Storage
For best performance keep frozen until opening. After opening store at 4C in the dark.

Stability
5 months in the dark, at 4C.

Preparation:

  1. Dilute 1.0g of APSwith 10ml of D.I. water. To bring the APS into solution, shake gently, avoid vigorous shaking as this will cause the solution to effervesce. Note: The 10% APS solution will remain stable for several weeks in the refrigerator.
  2. Sequencing gel solutions stored below 8C will cause the formation of urea crystals. Warming in a 30C water bath will bring the urea back into solution.
  3. Mix 0.1ml 10% APS solution (see step 1) for every 10ml of DNA Sequencing Gel Solution needed (e.g. for a 40ml gel, 0.4ml of 10% APS solution is required).
  4. Pour the gel. At 20C the gel should polymerize in less than 20 minutes.
